Steam the tempeh
Steam tempeh for 8 minutes, then let it dry for 3 minutes.

Sticky, spicy tempeh with cool cucumber, crunchy cabbage and rice. Big contrast, useful leftovers and no fake meat required.

Steaming tempeh first removes its raw edge. Roast it hard after saucing and the torn edges become chewy and caramelised.

Toss tempeh with glaze and roast at 220°C for 14 to 17 minutes, turning once.
Massage cabbage and carrot with lime, fold in cucumber and serve with rice and hot tempeh. Scatter sesame and green tops.
