Your information

Privacy without
the mystery.

This policy explains what TooGut collects, why we collect it and the choices you have.

Last updated 23 August 2026

Information we collect

If you join the TooGut newsletter, we collect your first name, email address, consent status and the page where you submitted the form. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in that message.

Your dietary preferences, saved recipes and saved recipe plan are processed and stored locally in your browser. They are not attached to your newsletter signup or transmitted to TooGut by the planning tool.

How we use information

  • To manage the newsletter subscription you chose to receive.
  • To respond to enquiries, corrections and privacy requests.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website.
  • To understand site performance when privacy-respecting analytics are enabled.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

TooGut does not sell your personal information. The recipe planner works without joining the newsletter.

Cookies, local storage and advertising

TooGut uses browser storage to remember preferences and saved recipes. Analytics and advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies when those services are enabled. Where consent is legally required, visitors will be given an appropriate choice before non-essential technologies are used.

Service providers and overseas processing

When you join the newsletter, your first name and email address are sent to Kit ↗, our email delivery provider. TooGut also keeps a subscriber record containing your details, consent status and signup source. Kit and our other providers may process information outside Australia under their own privacy and security obligations. We only share information needed to provide the relevant service.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No internet service can promise absolute security. Newsletter information is retained while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards where required for suppression, compliance or dispute records.

Your choices and rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You may also request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information held by TooGut. Clear browser storage to remove device-based preferences and saved recipes immediately.

Contact and complaints

Email admin.toogut@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We will investigate concerns and respond within a reasonable period. Information about Australian privacy rights is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ↗.
