Original work and inspiration
TooGut recipes are written in our own voice and structured for the site’s measurement, serving and swap tools. Food traditions and common cooking techniques belong to everyone. When another creator, study or organisation materially informs a guide, we identify or link to the source where practical.
Recipe development
Recipes are reviewed for coherent quantities, food safety, achievable timing, method order and realistic household equipment before publication. We do not copy another publisher’s expressive wording, photography or distinctive presentation.
Kitchen testing and reader feedback strengthen a recipe. When results reveal a problem, we update the recipe rather than defending the first version.
Food photography
TooGut food should look professionally photographed and genuinely cooked. We keep the brand’s stoneware, natural textures and directional light, while preserving the irregular cuts, uneven browning, crumbs, drips, broken edges and small differences that real hands create. We do not use artificial repetition, ruler-straight arrangements or flawless geometry to make a dish look more finished than food ever is.
Health and nutrition information
Health-related guides favour recognised Australian health bodies, research-led institutions and primary sources. We separate evidence from opinion and avoid claims that food can diagnose, treat or cure disease. Nutrition values are identified as estimates.
Commercial independence
Advertising, free products and sponsorship do not give a partner editorial approval. Commercial relationships are disclosed and advertising is kept distinguishable from independent content.
