Heat and grease
Heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 12-hole standard muffin tin generously with butter, including the top surface.

Twelve golden bacon and cheddar egg muffins built for busy mornings. Tender, freezer-friendly and miles better than another overpriced protein bar.

Egg muffins are one of the most useful keto recipes because one tray sorts several breakfasts. A spoonful of cream keeps them tender, while cooling the bacon before mixing prevents rubbery eggs.
Tick each step as you go. Built-in timers keep the important moments close.

Fry the bacon until crisp. Drain it well and let it cool for 5 minutes.
Whisk eggs, cream, salt and pepper just until combined. Fold through cheddar, spinach and cooled bacon.
